Formed in 2001, La Orquesta Salmerum has been blazing trails on the salsa scene in Houston and around the state of Texas. They quickly have become the favorite band of the Houston salseros and have a loyal following outside the city as well. They are known for their authentic sound as they have a full percussion and horn section and no computer sequencing. The musicians are the best at their craft and are recognized nationally as Salmerum is often asked to accompany some of the biggest names in salsa when they come to Texas.
